Ice Cream Cake and Update

So Sorry I have not been able to blog! I was in Malibu on vacation. One thing I did create before leaving to Malibu was my sisters sweet sixteen cookie dough ice cream cake! Here are the layers:
Cookie dough
Vanilla ice cream
Cookie Dough
Dulce de leche ice cream
Cookie dough
Vanilla ice cream
Vanilla cake
All This stacked together from bottom to top and frozen equals pure goodness!
quick tips:Cover the pan(usually circular)that you are stacking on with cling wrap so you can easily pull the cake out without trouble. REMEMBER!!!! you can either buy or make cookie dough and then flatten it out into circles the same size as pan your using. Also remember to freeze the ice cream in layers by smoothing softened ice cream over pan(all pans must be the same size)covered in cling wrap and freeze. Once all layers are frozen, flattened, baked, or prepared assemble cake layer by layer in pan. ENJOY!
tomorrow I will be baking an important cake tomorrow and will keep you posted! I am leaving for Mexico in the summer and will not be back until fall so I cannot blog there.

Chai Tea Latte at home

Today I made my own chai tea latte and it tasted great! It is a very simple recipe and much healthier than chai lattes you would buy.

1 cup of chai tea(made from tea bag)
about 2 cups of ice
a teaspoon of vanilla extract
maple syrup (amount according to taste)
1/4 cup of milk(I prefer almond milk)
Optional: a dollop of whipped cream

1. steep chai tea for 5 minutes.
2. Pour tea into a large glass filled with ice
3. Stir in vanilla, maple syrup, and milk. You may add whipped cream on top.
4. Serve and Enjoy!

Bridge Cake

So sorry I have not blogged in a while. I have been so busy with homework and this new cake I have been working on. After months of planning I finally created an ice cream cake to celebrate the Coronado bay Bridge Run. The ice cream cake had a giant bridge on top and it had sail boats. All you do is layer ice-cream and ice cream sandwiches to form a cake. Here is a picture:

Boeuf Bourguignon

Hey viewers!!
So happy because a lot of hopes and dreams were fufilled on May 6, 2013!!! I was sick and didn't go to school that day, but by mid afternoon I felt better. After a while I didn't have much to do. I had already done a lot of homework, watched movies, read books, baked apples, made cupcakes, played computer games. Everything there was to do! Finally I decided to check out my blog stats to see how many views I had and if I had any comments. I looked and BOOM! It hit me. I had just gotten my 100th pageview!! I was so happy and decided to celebrate. I wanted to go all out and make something awesome. I settled on Julia Child's boeuf bourguignon! I convinced my mom to drive to the grocery store and get all the ingredients. at exactly 4:37 p.m. I embarked on my exciting journey to fulfill my cooking dream! I was so excited because my dad was coming home early from work and we would eat the beef. Even though there are only 3 people in my family (me, my brother Gunnar, and my dad) who actually eat meat. By the end of the night, there was barely any boeuf bourguignon left! It was so delicious. I am just so happy because this is the best meal I have ever eaten or cooked. A couple of years ago I could have never fathomed that I would make a dish this spectacular! I encourage everyone out there to cook boeuf bourguignon!

Flower Cake

Flower Cake
Yesterday I made a marble cake. If you dont know a marble cake is a vanilla cake with melted chocolat swirled into it. I put the batter in a cake pan and swirled in chocolate. The only problem was the chocolate was only on the top so next time I will poour in  half the batter swirl in chocolate and pir the other half and swirl in chocolat. This way there will be choclate in the middle of the cake too. Anyway the cake turned out great and it was so beatiful(sorry about the blurry picture). I got the recipe from the bottom of the non-stick copper cake pans at william sonoma. The pans are so great the cake slides right out. I put mini cupcakes on top to mske the cake look like a flower. I used the cake batter for the cupcakes too. Just for extra beauty, I added a real rose on top.

Some of my next projects are de-boning a duck for my dads birthday(May 23rd), making sea bass with a panko bread crumb crust, and buff borginioun a french classic. Bye for now!

Lime Cream pie

Here is a pie that I made a week ago. Sorry it took so long to post but my computer was lagging a lot :(. Anyway I made up my own recipe for lime cream pie with gram cracker crust. It turned out well and my whole family loved it. You basically just whisk together heavy whipping cream,m powdered sugar, lime juice, and lime rind. To make the gram cracker crust you crush gram crackers and mix them with a little melted butter. Then, you press the crust into pie pan and scoop in lime cream. Chill for 4 or more hours and serve with cinamon sprinkled on top. Here is a picture of the pie when it is done:

Apple Pie

Here is my favorite of all time way too make apple pie (I wrote the recipe):

1 tablespoon of flour
2 pie crusts
5 green apples
3 tablespoons of sugar
2 teaspoons of cinamon
less than 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
a teensy bit of salt
1/4 teaspoon of allspice
2 egg whites


1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Farenheit. Peel and cut apples they should look like the picture:

2.Then place the apples in a large bowl. Mix in cinamon, nutmeg, flour, sugar, allspice, and salt.

3. Pour apples into pie crust. Place slightly more apples in the center. Brush egg whites on the lip of the crust. Then, place another pie crust on top.

4. Bake for 15 minutes. Then change oven temp to 350 and bake for about 45 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
